For over a year Colours Inc. has been working pro bono on the Canyon Ridge Christian Church chapel and our project is almost complete! For years we have assisted CRCC with interior and exterior needs including their youth building, the expansion of their auditorium, and improved finishes in their administrative building.
The chapel will have more of a traditional feel for sacred ceremonies such as wedding and funeral services. The team members and I did this entirely for the public good. We are so blessed to have the opportunity to help in the development of their campus. The building is part of 32 acres of land and is located on Jones and Lone Mountain. Shown below are some photos of the design.
This chapel is very important to me. I had always imagined my mother having her services there, but unfortunately she passed July 18, 2013, nine months before the project was complete. I wrote a message to my mother on the walls of the chapel as did many of the Canyon Ridgers; each leaving their own messages and many wrote beautiful beautiful words giving glory to God. All of these words will be sealed up as the chapel is finished and will live within the walls forever.
It has been a great pleasure to work with my VP, Megan Baker, Steve Wilson at Canyon Ridge Christian Church, Martin Harris Construction, architect Wade Simpson and all the team members. I am eternally grateful for everyone and all the hard work they put into this project.
