What on earth has happened to the highly regarded fireplace?
Really! Take a good look at your fireplace….not the surround on the outside BUT the interior part of that box?
Do you have those awful fake log sets from years ago? Simplistic grate holding what I affectionately call, “Barbie Logs”? The world of fireplace inserts has changed dramatically and so should you in a number of ways.

After you have reset the interior of the fireplace, then move to improve the exterior with great accessories to warm up the winter months. A great log basket…yes, I know you’re not burning logs, BUT it doesn’t hurt to feel like you still could.
I found these great hand blown lead crystal matchstrikes on a website called www.lucycope.com, (you’ll use these for candle lighting) so have a pair of terrific candlesticks or votives on the mantel too.
And don’t forget a cozy rug by your fireplace. Was it James Bond who had all those love making scenes by the fire? Oh well, there have been so many good ones! Just get the rug!
